One of the Benue State House of Assembly contenders on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Solomon Ayado, has pledged to serve as a strong voice of the voiceless, if given the mandate to represent the people of Kyan State Constituency come 2027.

Ayado, a journalist currently serving as Editor of the Voice Newspaper, a publication of the Benue State Government, made the declaration during an interaction with select journalists yesterday in Makurdi.

He said his desire to run for the office was in response to calls from the APC Mbagbera council ward stakeholders who are demanding equity and quality representation.

According to Ayado, leadership of the Mbagbera council ward of Vandeikya Local Government Area in Benue state are also in agreement with his aspiration, explaining that they have also endorsed him for the purpose of fairness, justice in line with the principle of power rotation which favours his area.

Ayado attributed the level of underdevelopment in the area to underperformance of previous representatives, arguing that the situation could be reversed through effective and quality representation if he is given the mandate.

He promised to attract grassroots development, foster rapid growth and ensure economic stability within the constituency.
