The European Missions in Nigeria alongside United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) and other development partners operating in different parts of Nigeria have guaranteed their continued assistance to people and communities in need of social assistance in education, health and social empowerments.
Head of cooperation, European Missions, Massiso De-Luca made the statement when he was hosted by the governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmed Aliyu.
According to him, the EU Mission working side-by-side with UNICEF, ILO and other developments partners have been impacting positively people in rural areas and hamlets with special intervention in education, health and human capacity and the internally displaced persons.
“Our interventions in Nigeria are people-oriented as we carry the community along at areas in need of assistance, with a particular attention to children education and basic health assistance to mothers”, he said.
Massimo stated that the choice of Sokoto State for the visit is because it is the center for all the benefiting states including Kebbi.
The EU and UN delegations thanked the governor for the warm reception and pledged to continue their impactful human development projects.
