A former governor of Nasarawa State and former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu has applauded senator representing Nasarawa West in the National Assembly, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for embarking on infrastructural development in his zone, and for inviting his fellow governorship aspirants to his event.
Adamu who made the assertion during a ground breaking ceremony of the grading of 18 kilometers Angwan Takwa Junction to Moroa town road in Kokona Local Government Area of the state, executed by Wadada yesterday at Angwan Takwa Primary School, commended the donor in the said aspect, which is estimated at N148,500,000.
Our reporter revealed that, the APC gubernatorial aspirants who were at the event included Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Dr. Shuaibu Faisal, Professor Haruna, and Engr. Shehu Tukur; all of the Nasarawa West Senatorial zone where Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is representing.
In an interview with journalists at the end of the event, Wadada said,”Of course this road project is politically motivated because I am a politician and representing my people in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and it is an open secret that I am contesting for the governor of Nasarawa State. So, this project is politically motivated”, he said.
According to him, his political track-records will give him edge over the other aspirants irrespective of which political parties they are contesting from.
Dr. Shuaibu Faisal the immediate past director general of the National Primary Healthcare Agency who spoke on behalf of the APC gubernatorial aspirants at the event said, “Today is historic in Nasarawa State, particularly for the people of Nasarawa West Senatorial District where my friend, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is representing.
“Politics should be without bitterness, rather it should be geared towards developing people. So I urge our followers to follow suit and avoid political negativities.
Other personalities who commended Sen. Wadada included HRH Abaga Toni, Mr. Lawrence Sylvester Oho Ayih, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, the state APC chairman Mr. Aliyu Bello amongst others.
