US President Donald Trump has stepped up his threats against Iran, warning that the US military “hasn’t even started” destroying what’s left of the country’s infrastructure after a US strike demolished the country’s largest bridge.
Iran’s military warns it will ‘destroy’ US regional assets if the US and Israel escalate the strikes on Iran. Tehran carries out a wave of attacks against Israel and across the Gulf region, targeting a desalination plant in Kuwait and the Habshan gas facility in the United Arab Emirates.
Iran’s former Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has called for Iran to declare victory and end the war, outlining a blueprint for how Tehran could seek a settlement with Trump on terms acceptable to it.

Iran media releases images claiming downed US jet over central Iran
Meanwhile, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency says it has obtained images of a US fighter jet it says was shot down over central Iran by IRGC air defences.
The outlet did not reiterate earlier claims that the aircraft may have been an F-35, but said the images show markings linking it to US European Command.
The US European Command operates a range of aircraft, including F-35s, F-15s, F-22s and F-16s.
“The fighter jet belongs to the 48th Squadron of the US European Command, based at Lakenheath Air Base, England. The squadron has been deployed to the CENTCOM mission area for operations against Iran,” Tasnim said.
There has been no word from US officials.
