A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Benue State, Professor Sebastine Hon (SAN), has tendered his resignation from the ruling party.

Hon’s resignation, addressed to the Chairman of his Mbatan Council Ward of Gboko Local Government Area, cited personal reasons.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria had previously indicated interest in running for the office of governor in 2027.

It is however, unclear whether Hon (SAN) will seek an alternative platform to actualise his ambition come 2027.

Jabi Taryuha, Chairman of Mbatan Council Ward of Gboko Local Government Area, who received the resignation on behalf of the party, wished Hon well in his future political journey.
