The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Dr. Danladi Jatau and the chairman, Nasarawa State branch of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon Safiyanu Sani Andaha, have stated that the entire members of the NSHA and the entire chairmen of local government councils in the state have also conformed with the endorsement of Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada by Governor Abdullahi Sule as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2027 elections.
They made their endorsement statements during a grand homecoming and solidarity rally organised by Sen. Wadada’s supporters across the state at Keffi township stadium on Thursday.
According to them, their decisions to accepted the choice of Wadada to flag the APC gubernatorial candidate ticket was because of his outstanding political track records, adding that after thorough consultations within and outside the state, they found Wadada to be the must qualified and competent amongst other aspirants.
The Speaker said, “I want to appeal to other gubernatorial aspirants to please accept the endorsement of Sen. Wadada by His Excellency Engr Abdullahi Sule and by extension the entire Nasarawa State APC stakeholders. You all know that leadership comes from God Almighty and today he has chosen Wadada while tomorrow God can decide to choose another person
“God has used the governor of our dear state to endorsed Sen. Wadada to become our governor from 2027. With his capacity and ours we are going to win the coming general elections in all aspects.
“We at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have already endorsed His Excellency Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for 2027 through a press conference few days ago to tell the world that we are solidly behind Wadada becoming our gubernatorial candidate in the coming election.
“We want to use this opportunity to appeal to Nasarawa South and Nasarawa North senatorial districts to support our united candidate Sen. Wadada.
“Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is best amongst all and the must experienced politician as such we are going to support him in all ramification to ensure that Wadada wins the forthcoming gubernatorial election”.

He however, called on other APC gubernatorial aspirants to eschew whatever grievances and join their hands of fellowship with other critical APC stakeholders to ensure total victory for APC at the coming general elections.
In his speech at the event, Sen. Wadada thanked the governor of Nasarawa State Engr Abdullahi Sule, members of Nasarawa State House of Assembly under the leadership of Dr. Danladi Jatau, all the chairmen of the 13 local government councils of the state amongst other critical APC stakeholders in state for their magnanimous support and interventions that resulted to his endorsement.
He also commended his co-contestants for their willingness to accept his endorsement, describing their gesture as prestigious, matured and would never be taken for granted.
“To Engr Abdullahi Sule, you and I cannot thank him enough, but surely we appreciate all the developmental strides he has been doing in the state which one of them at the moment was my endorsement to succeed him.
” To you my fellow aspirants, the least I can say is for Allah to reward you for the kind understanding, the levels of acceptance and commitment that you have shown who have gone along way to prove to me whole world that before now we were all aspiring for the good of the people of Nasarawa State.
” We made a promised to the governor that when and if he picks one out of all of us we will all accept and rally around that person and that is the stage that we are today. May Allah bless all of you”
He also used the opportunity to urge the people of Nasarawa State give President Bola Tinubu their maximum support to ensure his reelection in 2027, describing the president as a super president who cares for the well-being of Nigerians
“To His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, beyond what the positive things I have been saying about him vis a vis the floor of Funds to sub- national, he also intervened specially by directing that Keffi-Nasarawa-Toto-Abaji Road should be rehabilitated on special funds. Is it not enough for us to thank him?
