National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kebbi State under the leadership of Engineer Ahmed Rufai Khalifa, has commended what they described as infrastructure boost under President Bola Tinubu and Dr Nasir Idris the governor of Kebbi state .
Khalifa who spoke on the sidelines of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unity rally held in Birnin Kebbi stated that though youth in Nigeria and Kebbi have had a fair share of representations urged Kebbi state government to allow more youth to contest elective post in the state which can be realized through support and encouragement from him.
The state youth chief who reaffirmed the council’s unalloyed support for Tinubu and Idris, urged youth to prepare for elective post as the nation readied for elections in 2027.
“Youth participation in politics is critical to sustainable democracy because their contributions to nation-building is immeasurable therefore we need the support of governor Idris and President Tinubu to attain our full political potentials”.
He commended governor Idris for his various youth interventions in various sectors particularly youth empowerments and new initiative evolved by Kebbi State government to strengthen social safety nets which when implemented will have direct positive impacts on all the youth in Kebbi state.
While urging youth to shun violence during polls, he warned them not to allow themselves to be used as tools in the hands of unpatriotic overzealous politicians.
