Some stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Karu/Gitata constituency of Nasarawa State House of Assembly have described the decision of Hon. Abraham Habu Ekpo to contest to represent his constituency in the forthcoming 2027 general elections as timely, owing to his wealth of experience politically and in other aspects of human endeavours.
The stakeholders made the assertions in their separate goodwill messages on behalf of their respective APC associations within the constituency, during the official declaration ceremony where Dr. Ekpo presented a letter of intent to the leadership of the party at the party’s secretariat in Karu recently..
According to them,the aspirant has paid his dues to the people of his constituency, Karu Local Government Area and the state at large as such electorate want to reciprocate by voting him to represent them at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly from 2027.
Karu Local Government Area APC woman leader, Hajiya Hauwa Ishaq said,”Dr. Abraham has done a lot for the people of his constituency as a whole as such we are calling on electorate and APC stakeholders in his constituency to give him their maximum support”
Alhaji Danasibi Uke said,”Without fear of contradiction, I stand here to tell this gathering that Dr. Abraham has distinguished himself amongst his peers politically and administratively, adding that the aspirant had been tested in some public offices in the past and never been found wanting.
“It will interest the general public to know that Dr Abraham was a two-term secretary to Karu Local Government Area, one time clerk of the Karu Local Government Legislative Council arm, and to crown it all, he spent about a decade as the head of Information and Protocol Officer of the Nasarawa State University Keffi and never found wanting.
Barr. Linda Yuhna, the chief Whip of the Karu Local Government legislative arm Who spoke on behalf of the people of Dr. Abraham community called on the entire people of the constituency to assist them in their quest to ensure the aspirant passes all the needed procedures to enable him represent them at the state house of assembly from 2027.
The APC secretary of Karu Local Government Area Hon. Nuhu Mohammed who received the intent letter on behalf of the party’s chairman thanked Dr. Abraham and his supporters for their willingness to always cooperate and identify themselves with responsible politicians.
In his remarks at the occasion,Dr. Abraham Habu Ekpo thanked Nasarawa State governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule for providing enabling ground for all the APC aspirants at all levels to test their popularity, adding that if given the opportunity he will do his best to ensure he operate an open door policy which would pave ways for meaningful development.
