The Sokoto State Ministry of Information and Orientation has expressed willingness to collaborate with Alu TV Nigeria to propagate the present administration’s various developmental projects being executed in Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
The Sokoto State Commissioner of Information and State Orientation Alhaji Sambo Bello Danchadi, stated this when he received the General Manager of the station and his team on a courtesy visit.
He said the establishment of the station shows the foresight of the owner of the TV station and his vision for the development of Sokoto State towards enlightening and educating society in all aspects of human endeavour.
Alhaji Danchadi added that he was not surprised by the establishment of the station, given the track record of Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
He assured that the State Ministry of Information will accord all necessary support and cooperation to the station in amplifying the state government’s projects being executed across the state.
While congratulating the General Manager on his appointment, he also charged them to continue with their efforts.
Also, in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, said a series of engagements have been mapped out by the ministry to complement the 9-point agenda of Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration.
He also said the ministry will collaborate with Alu TV Nigeria to get feedback from the electorate to execute various developmental projects in the state.
In his address, the General Manager of Alu TV Nigeria, Malam Bashar Abubakar said they were in the ministry to seek collaboration and partnership with the ministry to propagate and enlighten the people of the state on the present administration’s achievements, especially on the 9-point agenda of Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration.
Malam Bashar Abubakar said the station was established in 2015 and has been fully operational for one last year.
According to him, about 55 African countries watch the station. He also said the station currently has 30 staff and produces 30 different programs in various fields, apart from daily news bulletins in English and Hausa.
He promised to work closely with the Ministry to provide effective and efficient service to the people.
