Sokoto State government said it is fully committed towards rejuvenating the entire health sector.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Animal Health and Fisheries Development, Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Yabo stated this at a one-day workshop organized by Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
He said this can be attested to in view of its effort in the sector and effective funding for the fight against the infectious diseases in particular.
Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Aisha Lawal in a statement said Alhaji Abubakar Yabo revealed that in the ministry adding that the government is also providing funds for the control of such diseases among animals to ensure good health and that of public.
The Permanent Secretary therefore reiterated the government’s resolve to support any organization, group or individual wishing to contribute in controlling the infectious diseases.
He also used the medium to call on stakeholders to brace up in facing the tasks ahead for a healthy society.
