Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital has affirmed the suspension of the Southeast national vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Ali Odefa.
Odefa was suspended from the party on October 4, 2024, by the executive committee of the party at his Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha local government area of Ebonyi State for alleged anti-party activities.
Delivering judgment on the matter in suit no FHC/AI/CS/182/2024 between Herbert Ovuta and Odefa, the presiding judge, Justice Hilary Oshomah ruled that the suspension was valid.
The court ordered Odefa to stop parading himself as the national vice chairman of the party.
When contacted, the factional PDP spokesman in Ebonyi State, Comrade Richard Nwafor said Odefa can never be deterred over the court ruling.
Nwafor wondered how individuals moved to court to obtain judgement against the party leader, Odefa, working tirelessly to fix PDP in the Southeast region of the country.
He however, assured that the PDP would soon officially issue statement on the court ruling against Odefa, to clear the general public.
