A member, House of Representatives, Honourable Ifeoluwa Babajide Ehindero has promised to sponsor the education of Miss Ifeoluwa, daughter of late reporter of Blueprint Newspaper, John Oba .
Hon. Ehindero made this pledge during the conferment of Grand Patron on him by the Association of Ondo Media Practitioners, AOMP, on Thursday in Abuja.
John Oba, a member of the association died on August 29, 2024.
Ifeoluwa Ehindero is the member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State.
Confirming the promise, chairman of AOMP, Mr. Timothy Sola Akingboye, said having heard about the death of John Oba when the unfortunate incident happened, the lawmaker had since taken charge of the late journalist daughter’s education in a way of supporting the bereaved family.
Akingboye said Ifeoluwa is already in the university, courtesy Hon. Ehindero’s scholarship.
In relation to the death of John Oba, Honourable Ehindero called on journalists across the country to give more attention to their health.
His said because of the tasking nature of media job, a lot of journalists take their health for granted.
