The newly appointed Commissioner for Education in Sokoto State, Prof. Ahmed Ladan Ala, convened his first official meeting with directors and heads of agencies under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
The meeting, held at the Sultan Maccido Institute for Quranic and General Studies, Sokoto, focused on outlining the commissioner’s vision and masterplan for transforming the state’s educational sector.
The Information Officer of the ministry, Ibrahim Iya, in a statement said during the session, Prof. Ala presented a detailed framework aimed at improving access, quality, and infrastructure in schools across Sokoto State. His strategic plan emphasized teacher training, curriculum development, and integrating modern technology into the learning process.
The commissioner stressed the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the success of the outlined initiatives. He also called for transparency and accountability in the management of educational programs and resources.
