Gov Idris condoles Radda over mother’s demise

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has condoled with the Government and people of Katsina state over the death of Hajiya Safara’u Umar, the mother of Governor Umar Dikko Radda of Katsina State.

In a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy Abdullahi Idris, Governor Idris expressed his heartfelt condolences on the demise of “a caring mother, a distinguished community leader and a reliable guardian who spent substantial part of her life in service to God and humanity as well as nurturing persons identified to have exemplary track record of high morality and discipline”

He declared that the great loss was not only painful to the family, relatives, associates and loved ones but to the entire country in view of the calibre of people she selflessly and properly trained and believed to have made valuable contributions to unity, peaceful coexistence, and development in Nigeria “

Governor Radda, who is also the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC) North West Governors forum, wh the Governor described as “a resourceful team player and supportive colleague” urged him “to be consoled by the immeasurable sacrifice and resilience exhibited by our beloved mother in ensuring peace and harmonious relationship among the various ethnic communities, particularly in Northern Nigeria”.

Hajiya Safara’u Umar died at the age of 93 years in the early hours of Sunday.
