Some constituents of Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency were full of gratitude to the member representing them at the National Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Uguru, for bringing a free eye medical outreach to their area. They expressed appreciation for the rare and timely intervention.
The outreach which took place on Thursday at General Hospital, Iboko, the headquarters of Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State where the large crowd mostly men, women, especially the elderly from across communities in Izzi and beyond gathered for the health programme.

According to report sent to NationsPride by Comrade Temple Peter Nwiboko, medical professionals were seen working diligently to attend to the high turnout. Several cases of cataract, glaucoma, and other eye conditions were detected and managed, helping to restore clear vision and prevent long-term complications.
Many described this outreach as a life-changing opportunity. “This is the first time I am seeing a doctor for my eyes. I am truly grateful to Hon. Uguru,” said an elderly woman who received a pair of reading glasses.

Security and logistics were effectively coordinated, ensuring smooth flow of activities.
“This outreach is part of Hon. Uguru’s ongoing effort to bring accessible healthcare to his constituents, reaffirming his reputation as a grassroots-focused leader who listens and delivers”, the report stated.
