MD of Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Sokoto honoured with Zaruman Kware title

Professor Shehu Sale, the outgoing Medical Director of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Kware, Sokoto State, has been conferred with the traditional title of ‘Zaruman Kware’ by the District Head of Kware, Alhaji Muhammadu Dan’iya.

This honour is in recognition of Sale’s outstanding contributions to the hospital and the Kware community during his tenure.

Some of Sale’s notable achievements include Infrastructural Developments.

He facilitated the construction of various facilities, such as Molecular Laboratory,
Intensive Care Unit, Regional Women and Children Drug Dependency Treatment Center, Accident and Emergency Center and Multipurpose Students’ hostel.

Others are School of Post Basic Nursing (Psychiatry), Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Center, Community Engagement, Sale supported community development initiatives, recruited many Kware indigenes, and supplied potable water to the community.

Professor Sale also improved healthcare services at the hospital, which is a federal government specialty hospital providing mental health care and rehabilitation services.

The traditional ruler urged Sale to continue his community development initiatives and to work towards fostering peace and unity in the country.

Sale expressed gratitude for the honour and pledged to leverage his experience to drive meaningful contributions to the area.
