The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State is mourning the loss of its State Youth Leader, Hon. Francis Atondo Ibya (Jahman), who passed away on August 9, 2025, after a brief illness.
The party chairman, Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, announced the sad news with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss.
Adaji in a statement by the Party’s State Publicity Secretary, Tim Nyor made available to journalists in Makurdi, said Hon. Ibya, who hailed from Mbayegh Council ward, Ushongo Local Government Area, was known for his loyalty, dedication, and commitment to the ideals and principles of the PDP.
The PDP State Chairman in the statement noted that the deceased was particularly passionate about mobilizing and mentoring young people, leaving an enduring legacy in the party’s history.
The State Working Committee of the PDP extended heartfelt condolences to Hon. Ibya’s family, friends, and associates, standing in solidarity with them during this moment of grief.
The Benue PDP family while describing Hon. Ibya’s passed as a significant loss to the party and the entire youths of Benue State,prayed for the repose of the deceased noble soul and for the family to find the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
