DSS commends Umar Shayi’s efforts in combatting banditry in Bauchi

The Commander General of Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, Umar Shayi has received commendation and recognition from the Department of State Service, Bauchi State Command due to his commitment in tackling banditry across the state.

The commendation letter explained that “The service has observed with keen interest your outstanding contribution to managing insecurity across communities in Bauchi State and the nation at large. The commendation continues as such your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens have not gone unnoticed”, the letter stated.

Meanwhile the commendation noted that his dedication and expertise have placed crucial role in enhancing community policing, coordination of anti-banditry operations, recovery of rustled cattle and improving intelligence gathering.
