Group under the auspices of Kunav Progressive Forum from the hometown of Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue, have commended the doggedness of Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, for discharging his duties creditably despite attacks, criticisms and intimidation from the opposition.
Making the commendation during their visit on the CPS at Government House Makurdi, leader of the delegation, Cletus Finba, said the people of Kunav extraction have acknowledged with satisfaction Kula’s steadfast commitment and dedication to defending and promoting the image of the governor despite attacks, urging him to remain resolute in discharging his responsibilities with commitment.
He also expressed the people’s unwavering support to the governor and the chief press secretary to succeed.
Finba, on behalf of the group, equally lauded efforts of the chief press secretary in showcasing achievements and the impactful programmes of the Alia administration which according to him has positively touched the lives of Benue people, expressing deep appreciation with Kula’s commitment and dedication to his assigned responsibility.
Other separate speakers during the visit including Mathew Damkor, former House of Assembly member and Damian Adagba, representative of Kunav Progressive Youth Wing; all lauded efforts of the CPS particularly his dedication to duty.
The duo pledged the support of Kunav people to the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia, calling for prayers to enable the CPS and the governor succeed.
Responding, Chief Press Secretary to the Benue governor, Tersoo Kula, expressed gratitude for the recognition and confidence shown by his kinsmen, describing the visit as morale booster and reaffirmed his commitment to effectively deliver on his madate .
The Chief Press Secretary who said his duties are beyond just disseminating information, explained that his roles equally involves protecting the image of the governor as well as telling the public the truth about government policies and programmes, warning detractors with malicious intentions to desist as his office will not fold alms to watch anyone malign either the personality of the governor or misinform the public about achievements of the present administration.
