The Governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nasir Idris, has condole with his Jigawa State counterpart Alhaji Umar Namadi over the tanker explosion that claimed more than 100 lives.
Governor Idris who noted the incident with painful feelings, described it as unavoidable natural disaster, as the entire nation grief over the regrettable circumstance.
In a condolence message to the Jigawa State Governor signed by the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Zuru, Governor Idris admonished people of the state to take solace in the fact that Allah gives and he takes”.
Governor Idris further declared that the government and the entire people of Kebbi State have joined the people of Jigawa state and indeed the entire nation in mourning the loss of the citizens.
He, however, advised the state and federal governments statutory regulatory agencies responsible for public awareness and enlightenment campaigns to intensify the campaign on the need for people to avoid involvement in uncoordinated rescue mission whenever accidents of such magnitude occurred.
He prayed to Allah for the repose of the souls of the departed and grant the bereaved family the courage to bear the great loss.
It could be recalled that a petrol tanker went off in flames killing over 100 people with many others severely burnt.
