The member representing Argungu Constituency in the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Honourable Umar Na’amore, says his constituents are satisfied with the N7.2 billion ongoing township road dualization project in the area.
Na’amore stated this in Argungu on Friday while reacting to claims published by Sahara Reporters on March 18, alleging the use of substandard materials in the ongoing construction of 6.4-kilometer Argungu dual carriageway.
“We are dismayed and dumbfounded by unexpected and unfounded allegation published by Sahara Reporters on March 18, alleging the use of substandard materials in the ongoing construction of 6.4-kilometer Argungu dual carriageway.
“To put record straight and right, we in Argungu local government area have never had it so good as far as dividends of democracy are concerned like under Governor Nasir Idris.
“We are satisfied about the quality of the N7.2 billion Argungu dual carriageway, the already commissioned rehabilitated Argungu general hospital and ongoing construction of mega school, among other projects in the area”, he said.
Na’amore explained that Governor Idris had advised the assembly and people of the area, before the commencement of the projects, to ensure strict adherence to specifications and contractual agreement.
The lawmaker, therefore, described the publication as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and tarnish the hard-earned reputation of Gov. Idris’ giant strides of infrastructural development.
