The Sokoto State Ministry for Youth and Sports Development is collaborating with the Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership to develop the capacity of youths in the state.
This development aims to achieve optimum development for the state and the country at large.
Secretary to the Initiative, Muhammad Nasir said the resolution was reached during an advocacy visit to the Ministry by members of the Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership management team.
Engineer Mustapha Muhammad Kofar Marke, Commissioner of the Ministry, emphasized that youth development is the bedrock of societal development. This aligns with the present administration’s nine-point agenda.
Engineer Mustapha assured the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with the organization to ensure performance-driven results in all aspects. Bello Gidadawa, a board member of Rain Healthcare, discussed development plans that will position Sokoto State favourably in various human development sectors, if effectively implemented.
In a related development, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, Commissioner for Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, pledged total commitment to collaborate with Rain Healthcare and Good Leadership for the well-being of the state’s people. According to her, the Ministry and Rain Healthcare share a common goal of improving the lives of ordinary citizens, and they will work together to achieve these goals.
Earlier, Usman Hamza, Executive Director of Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership, briefed the commissioners on the organization’s activities. These include supporting the government in ensuring improved public healthcare, collaborating with relevant bodies to assist society members in different development sectors, and soliciting ministry partnerships to sensitize Sokoto residents on various societal orientation aspects for a healthy and better society.
The visit was attended by the ministries’ directors and executive members of Rain Healthcare Initiatives and Good Leadership.
