The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has officially inaugurated the Pilgrims Medical Screening Team for the 2025 Hajj operations.
The ceremony was held at the Agency’s headquarters in Sokoto, marking the beginning of the medical screening exercise for intending pilgrims.
Head of Information and Communication of the Agency Faruk Umar in a statement said the chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, emphasized the sacred nature of the assignment, urging team members to uphold sincerity, patience, and dedication.
Acting Executive Secretary Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim highlighted the need to protect the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.
Director of Operations, Alhaji Abubakar Chika, charged the medical team to work diligently with responsibility and fear of Allah.
Leader of the medical team, Dr. Bello Abubakar Attahiru, emphasized the team’s role in providing care and medical support to intending pilgrims.
The medical screening exercise commenced on Saturday, with pilgrims from Wamakko and other local government areas expected to participate.
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of intending pilgrims.
