Ahead of 2027 general elections in Nigeria at least one thousand seven hundred and sixty three youth groups under the umbrella of ‘Kaura kawai’ has signed to retain Kebbi state governor, Dr Nasir Idris till 2031.
The director general of the organised youth groups, Comrade Aliyu Haliru Bunza made the disclosure on Friday in Birnin Kebbi when he held a press conference.
According to him, the youth group undertook a holistic survey in 21 local councils in Kebbi where they identified achievements of Idris-led government before arriving at a decision to sign pact with various youth groups of like interest to work hard to retain Idris as governor till 2031.
“We have identified his achievements in health sector, education, security, human empowerments and agriculture where his interventions are already yeilding positive results in the state, we therefore declare no vacancy in Kebbi state”.
The group noted that his achievements are visible therefore not a ploy by the group to paint him in good light but to bring to public knowledge some of his achievements hidden in villages and hamlets across Kebbi state.
“We named him the jinx breaker because within short time he turned around Kebbi state in all human endeavors. We are calling on all youth in Kebbi to support his government and the notable efforts of his wife, Zainab Nasir Idris for her enormous contributions to women and orphans in the state.
