Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, Dominic Iorfa, has disclosed that the life of Christian Chukwu and Emmanuel Okala both legends of Enugu Rangers International of Enugu and ex-Nigerian nationals have remained a source of inspiration to him and the upcoming generation.
The ex-international who made the disclosure in a statement signed by the Club Media Director, Uja Emmanuel, Monday in Makurdi, acknowledged the achievements and enormous contributions these legends have made to the development of the round leather game during their days at Rangers International, Enugu.
“It is my pleasure to join millions of well-wishers globally to celebrate these great and noble legends whose exemplary lives are worthy of emulation.
“Your contributions to human development and nation-building in your years of existence are no doubt eventful and fruitful in all ramifications.
“You remain a uniting factor in the round leather game, and I will continue to identify with you all as nationalists without borders,” Iorfa maintained
While assuring these icons of his continued support, the NPFL board member prayed for God’s blessings upon them always.
Okala and Chukwu, who are living legends, were founding members of the Nigeria Premier Football League giants, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.
The two were seen taking the first kick as the ‘Flying Antelopes’ celebrated the 50th anniversary of Christian Chukwu as a player and captain of the former African champions.
