Jigawa inaugurates monitoring team for JIGAWAUNITE Projects

The Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a monitoring team for the JIGAWAUNITE Project, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing educational outcomes across the state.

Inaugurating the team, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State Mr Bala Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of this team, highlighting the substantial financial commitment made by Governor Umar Namadi to the JIGAWAUNITE Project.

He noted that the team was selected based on merit,personal integrity,and competence, comprising highly professional educationists. This diverse expertise is expected to facilitate the successful achievement of the project’s objectives.

Mr Bala Ibrahim said the primary goals of the Monitoring Team include; Evaluating academic performance across participating schools;Assessing engagement and ownership of the project by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); Delivering updates and insights to Governor Namadi and other stakeholders.

The SSG outlined the team’s terms of reference, which include developing a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan, conducting classroom observations, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports to document successes and lessons learned.

He emphasized that this initiative establishes a strong foundation for data informed policies aimed at improving educational outcomes in Jigawa State.

Responding, Dr. Yau Ahmad Sara, Chairman of the Monitoring Team and Director General of the Jigawa State Quality Assurance Agency, expressed gratitude to Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi for the opportunity to serve. He assured that the team will diligently work to justify the confidence placed in them.
