BREAKING: Another disaster hits Ibadan (watch video)

Barely two weeks after explosion rocked Bodija area of Ibadan in Oyo State precisely on January 16, 2024, the ancient city of the western Nigeria has yet again recorded a serious fire outbreak.

The ugly incident took place, Monday, around 3pm at Akari Estate Area of Soka.

According to report, the inferno allegedly emanated from a furniture shop and as the time of filing this report, the fire was seen spreading to other parts of the estate while residents were making frantic effort to put it out.

A post from an X user in the video below, residents were calling on people to come and help them before the fire escalates out of control.

Recall that Ibadan was in the news when a deadly blast allegedly caused by explosives stored by illegal miners, the Oyo state governor has said.

Two people were killed and 77 others injured in the explosion that affected seven suburbs of Nigeria’s third most-populous city.
