The immediate past Executive Secretary of National Agency For Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and a frontline APC gubernatorial aspirant in Nasarawa State Engr. Prof. Mohammed Haruna has urged politicians and philanthropists in the state to emulate the leadership qualities of the incumbent governor of the state Engr. Abdullahi Sule by contributing their quota towards developing the state.
Professor Haruna who made the call in an interview with journalists at his Alma Mater, Abdu Zanga Primary School Keffi, at the end of a foundation laying ceremony for the perimeter fence of the school donated by him yesterday, said Governor Sule’s developmental strides gingered him into embarking on developmental positivities for the people of the state.
His words,”Another important thing is that the current administration of Engr. Abdullahi Sule our governor is that he is putting a lot of infrastructures on ground across the state.
“To identify or emulate the work of his administration and to demonstrate that, I deemed it imperative that it is not the responsibility of the state alone rather individuals, political office holders and companies can contribute their capacities for the development of our society.
“One thing that we must always remember is that when you educate your children and fail to ensure to education your neighbours children, you and your children will never have peace.”
“It will also interest you to know that this institution is historical that is why it was named after the founder of Keffi by name Abdu Zanga as a mark of honour. As such is good we preserve the memories of this institution so that its beauty can be a representative of what truly is inside the school”
The gubernatorial hopeful also used the opportunity and said he was indebted to his late parents and late teachers whom modelled him to be whom he is today in the society adding that,
“I equally appreciate specially Madam Mercy N. Ali now Madam Mercy Imaga who has taken interest in my studies and devoted time and gave me extra lessons leading to my double or triple promotion in school at that time”.
On their part, Senator Abdullahi Adamu the former APC National Chairman who was represented by a Member of the National Assembly Hon. Abdulmimuni Ari, Hon. Baba Ali a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly amongst others described Professor Haruna as a hard-working person, a philanthropist and someone who always carries his people along.
