A civil society organization (CSO), Grassroots Advocacy for Peace and Good Governance has undertaken an independent investigations on the claims of a teacher in Dandi Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) of Kebbi State.
The national chairman of the organization, Comrade Usman Muhammed Anche revealed that the teacher’s claim of small portion of Ramadan palliatives emanated from him because the self-promoted social media post was done before the distribution of Ramadan palliatives by Dandi Local Government Education Authority (LGEA).
The CSO further raised doubts as to the authenticity of the video and the picture saying, looking carefully at the picture, one can see that his firsthand and the secondhand are holding two different polythene bags and the background of the picture doesn’t look like school premises so he choose his environment carefully and executed his action to go trendy on social media.
He said another fact the CSO found was that the teacher long before now is a staunch social media practitioner therefore used the self-promoted picture and video to gain attention and more followers.
Anache noted that, the video was deviod of school-like environment as no noise of people collecting palliatives.
The latest Ramadan palliatives distributed across the state was the third in a series of such humanitarian gestures from the state governor, Dr NasirIdris.
“We ask where was the teacher last two years or was he given full bags that he didn’t come out to appreciate or why the haste now”.
The CSO noted with deep surprise a write up credited to Amnesty International on the palliatives backlash in Kebbi State where it descended heavily on Kebbi State Government without recourse to the facts and figures regarding the incident.
“We admonished Amnesty International to go after those using their name on social media, because we know they are credible, humane and unbiased public courts working hard to protect human sanctity without injuring other parties involved”.
