A non-govermental organisation, Freehand Concept, on Saturday flagged off the training of at least 22 visually impaired persons on digital economy in Birnin Kebbi.
The association is a group of visually impaired persons in the state with a zeal to train their fellows on digital economy and other social trades in order to close the gap between the ables and the physically challenged.
State chairman, Bashar Sakaba, said that the vocational training will last for at least four months which seeks to equip the persons with disabilities with basic skills and know-how on digital economy.
According to him, 22 persons will under go the training as first batch while other batches will follow till a very high number of persons with disabilities gets the training.
Earlier, in his speech, the state Chairman, Kebbi investment, Alhaji Muhammadu Audi described the training as the first in Kebbi saying the investment company would continue to support Freehand Concept as it is prepares to help the disable reasons to live like any member of the society.
