NYCN celebrates Kebbi workers, hails Gov Idris’ industrial harmony

National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kebbi State Chapter, on Friday joined Nigeria and the rest of the world to celebrate the 2026 Workers’ Day.

The council chairman, Comrade Ahmed Rufai Khalifa in a statement on Friday said that Nigerian workers deserve an accolade for supporting the ongoing economic reform,  and still maintain confidence in Presiden Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris-led governments.

He added that governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nasir Idris deserves commendation for enduring industrial harmony in the state which is a testement of workers-friendly policies saying implementation of minimum wage for Kebbi workers, prompt payments of salaries and gratuities to retirees coupled with championing the course of youth is leading the pace for speedy development.

” Youths are among the casual workers the governor absorbed into mainstream civil service and as well substantial number of youth in Kebbi were recruited in teaching to reduce unemployment “.

Engineer Khalifa opined that youth-friendly policies are catalyst fot development and progress even as they reduce poverty in the country.

He urged workers and youth in Kebbi state to keep faith with Tinubu and Idris led governments as they put in efforts to stem insecurity and fight poverty.

” We celebrate Kebbi youth and workers across the country on the occasion of workers day “.
