All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, Kebbi State Council, Thursday, extended its sallah greetings to Kebbi governor, Dr Nasir Idris and secondary schools teachers in the state.
The chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Kangiwa said that Ramadan is over, Muslims are expected to take the lessons learnt beyond the holy month as well as extol the virtues of of good leaders who are working assiduously to reposition the state educationally and otherwise, hence the reason to congratulate the state governor, Idris on the completion of Ramadan fast.
He noted, as former teacher, much is expected from him from the teaching circle which he has demonstrated through schools expansion, teachers training.
“We congratulate you for the successful completion of Ramadan fast, we wish to appeal to you to decongest public schools by building more classrooms and upward review the feeding to meet the inflationary trend in the country which we have no doubt you will look into”.
To all secondary schools teachers, the ANCOPSS chief assured them of union’s resolve to pursue their cause and to protect their rights at appropriate quarters adding the state government is working hard to improve their lot.
“You must dedicate your time and energy to take education to the next level to at least complement what the government is doing, and you must inculcate discipline to all your students in order to produce good future leaders”, he said.
