Sokoto state commissioner for Health, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, has received the award conferred on the Chief Medical Director of Sokoto State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Umar Bello by the Federal Ministry of Health.
They were recognized for their outstanding efforts in the area of tuberculosis leprosy and Buruli ulcer.
The commissioner for Health Hajiya Asabe Balarabe said she was incredibly proud to receive such recognition describing it as amazing to see their dedication to improving healthcare in Sokoto.
Similarly, during the event, the outgoing permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Sokoto, expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto for his unwavering support and dedication to the health sector.
He commended the governor for his efforts in promoting Sokoto to greater heights.
Spokesperson to the Commissioner, Murjanatu Magaji, who passed the information to our correspondent also said Abubakar shared his emotions and pride in Dr Bello Tambuwal for achieving his goals and objectives and for receiving the well-deserved award of excellence
“It’s truly inspiring to see such strong leadership and commitment to improving health care”.
