Bafarawa’s Foundation doles out cash palliatives to patients in Sokoto

In continuation of distribution of cash and food palliatives, The GIVING BACK INITIATIVE has provided cash assistance to patients admitted at various wards in Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.

The Media and Publicity team further revealed that the cash distribution exercise was conducted by team of officials from the GIVING BACK INITIATIVE GBI led by chair of the initiative steering committee Malam Muhammad Lawal Maidoki assisted by a member of the committee Alh Nasiru Bafarawa.

Earlier the team paid a courtesy call at the Chief Medical Director CMD Professor Anas Sabir in his office.

For effective and hitch free exercise, team the split up into groups, with each handling specified wards within the mighty hospital.

The distribution of the cash palliative was aimed at assisting the beneficiaries cope with the cost of treatment there by promoting their health and general wellbeing in this holy month of Ramadan and beyond.

All things being equal, the exercise would be extended to benefit patients at the general hospitals across the 23 LGAs in the state and is calculated to reach out to around 1500 beneficiaries according to reliable sources.
