Worried by the growing spate of insecurity in Nasarawa state, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulafia socio cultural association said Tuesday that the association is set to launch a vigilante group to complement the activities of the conventional security in the state.
National president of the association, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, announced the launch of the Nomad Vigilante Group in Nasarawa State.
It would be recalled that on November 2, 2023, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore had announced its commitment to supporting the federal government in its fight against the escalating security challenges across the country.
According to Bodejo, in a statement signed by the association’s publicity secretary, Mallam Suleiman Tasiu, the quasi-security outfit would fish out criminals among cattle herders in the community.
“The 2,140-man vigilante group is to complement the efforts of conventional security agencies in addressing insecurity and promote peaceful coexistence in Nasarawa State”, Bodejo stated.
