Senator Wamakko urges public to report all suspicious movements

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has again called on people of Sokoto State to report any suspicious movements of criminal element for proactive measures by the authorities concerned.

His media aide, Bashar Abubakar, also said the Senator was speaking when he condoled the families of five persons killed by unknown gunmen last week Thursday at Fanari town of Wamakko local government area of the state.

The five families killed were fuel attendants in a filling station at Fanari-Gumbi Road of Wamakko local government area of the state.

The victims include Sulaiman Liman, Abdullahi Magaji, Faruku Usman, and Umaru Labbo Liman while the fifth person who sustained injuries and currently undergoing medical attention was Lawali Labbo.

Senator Wamakko while condoling the families of the victims described the incident as shocking and unfortunate and called on them to take heart as that, was the will of Allah.

Senator Wamakko therefore, charged the people of the area and the state as a whole to be vigilant and report any unfamiliar movement to the authorities concerned for a quick action before the occurrence of any eventuality.

He said those behind all the ungodly act are within the community hence the need to report them for adequate action.

The former Governor further explained that it is high time for the people to be active not to see things going wrongly, and remain adamant without any action as such will continue to put more problems than solutions.

In another development, senator Wamakko condoled the family of Liman Ruwa Fanari Birni who passed away on Monday.

Senator Wamakko was also at Majiya Village in the same Wamakko local government for.the condolence of late Alh. Abubakar Sarkn Yaki known as Mai Habbare who also died today.
