The District Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Abuja East District, Reverend Emmanuel Ottah has called on leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the Federal Capital Territory to organize a football competition for all churches in order to foster unity and good fellowship with one another.
The cleric made this call while speaking with NationsPride on Saturday after the final match of the football competition organized by the Men’s Ministry of the church, which took place at ACO Junction, along Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Reverend Ottah said he believes what can bring Christian denominations together faster is organizing football competition for them from across FCT.
“I strongly recommend that leadership of the Christian body in Abuja should organize something like this, because it would synergize, bring together the body of Christ through sports. It’s good for brethren of like faith to come together, because there is value in sports”.
