Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has described the death of wife of his Akwa Ibom state counterpart, Pastor Patience Umo as shocking.
Governor Hyacinth Alia in a condolence to his colleague Pastor Umo Eno over the death of his wife, whose demise took place on September 26 following an illness, urged him to take solace in the fact that his late wife lived a fulfilled life, full of compassion for the well-being of everyone around her.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Friday, in Makurdi, cited the Golden Initiative For All, GIFA, a foundation put together by the late Patience Eno, to provide shelter, food, financial and educational support to the poor and vulnerable in Akwa Ibom State, as one of her many legacies aimed at touching the lives of the people, which she will forever be remembered for.
He prayed to God to console the governor, his children and the entire people of Akwa Ibom State over the painful loss, asking God to grant the soul of the late First Lady, eternal rest.
