All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, in Kebbi state council has envisaged a total rebirth of education sector in the state as Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, won at the apex court after a long legal battle.
The Kebbi state branch chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Kangiwa, in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, stated that now that the legal distractions are over with the win at the courts, the teacher-governor would focus on total rejuvenation of the all-important education sector in the state.
He added already the government in place has made some noticeable gains and presence in the area of schools expansion, teachers training and bumper remunerations, which are underway for all categories of teachers to boost their morale and upshot the confidence of parents that there is indeed a system in place that seeks to turn around the educational fortunes in the state.
Kangiwa maintained that, the time is now to pray and support the government to ensure free and quality education for the children of the poor in the state.
“We wish to congratulate him on his resounding victory at all the courts and indeed the people of Kebbi state.
“Nonetheless, we appeal to him to improve on what he has started in education for the state to witness unprecedented educational development and progress”, he added.
