Nasarawa Assembly speaker promises to synergize with executive

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Honourable Danladi Jatau on Monday preached against ethnic, religious and political differences calling for harmonization amongst the citizens.

This is even as the Speaker has assured that the 7th Assembly under his leadership will effectively synergize with the executive arm of government and enact laws that would promote good governance in the State.

The Speaker made the appeal while briefing journalists  in Lafia  on the outcome of the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed Abdullahi Sule as the duly elected governor of the state.

“I have been saying always that for the State to move forward, the three arms of government must synergize and work together for peace, unity and development “.

“The Supreme Court judgement, was an affirmation of the mandate the people of the state freely gave Governor Sule on March 18”.

While assuring of his commitment to promote unity and good working relationship among members of the 7th Assembly, the Speaker urged the people of the State to shun ethnic and religious politics for peace, unity and development to continue to thrive.

“We need one another as God did not make a mistake for creating us from different tribes and religion.

“No single tribe or religion can do it alone, we all need one another. Nasarawa State is blessed, we must come together, shun ethnic and religious politics to move the State forward,” the speaker declared.
