A former chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) ticket, Honourable Tanko Yamawo has collapsed his political structures in support of the reelection of Honourable Christopher Maikalangu of the APC ahead of the February 21, 2026 FCT Councils Elections.
According to a release by Senior Special Assistant on Media & Public Affairs to the Chairman of AMAC, Kingsley Madaki, “The reelection campaign for Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu received a massive endorsement on Saturday as the Yamawo Support Group, led by Hon. Tanko Yamawo, formally declared its unwavering support”.
Madaki said Hon. Yamawo and his supporters reaffirmed their full commitment to Hon. Maikalangu’s success, making a firm pledge to deliver victory across all polling units within their respective areas.
Responding to the show of loyalty, Executive Chairman Hon. Maikalangu expressed his deep appreciation.
He took the opportunity to highlight his administration’s dedication to impactful projects and quality governance, specifically mentioning the ongoing Mabushi Road construction and various other developmental initiatives across AMAC.
Hon. Maikalangu assured residents that his commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing service delivery, and promoting inclusive growth for all communities in AMAC remains absolute.
