The All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on all Muslims in Nigerian to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the progress and unity of the country.
In a statement issued by the national publicity secretary of the party, Felix Morka, on Monday, the party enjoined Muslim Ummah to use the holy month of Ramadan for deep reflections, spiritual rejuvenation and greater devotion to Allah.
According to the ruling party, “Ramadan marks the commencement of a month-long fasting on the Islamic calendar. It is a season of renewed devotion to Almighty Allah, and service to nation and humanity.
“As this year’s Ramadan commences, our great Party urges prayers for Nigeria’s prosperity, security and unity. It also behooves us to pray for our leaders at all levels, and extend love and care to the less privileged around us”.
APC prayed Almighty Allah to imbue in the Islamic faithful the spirit of sacrifice, humility, mercy and kindness.
“We also pray that the lessons and blessings of Ramadan will rest on all”.
