The All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed shocked over the death of its Oyo State chairman, Barr. Isaac Ajiboye, saying the party will miss him greatly.
In a release issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka on Monday in Abuja, APC said, it has lost a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the growth and success of APC in Oyo State, the South West region and, indeed, the entire country.
“Until his passing, Omodewu was an accomplished politician, cerebral lawyer and shrewd administrator who served meritoriously, first, as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, and later, as Commissioner for Lands and Housing in the administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State.
“Our great Party has lost a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the growth and success of APC in Oyo State, the South West region and, indeed, the entire country. The late Omodewu will be sorely missed.
“As the Party mourns, we take solace in the enduring example of selfless service and patriotism the late Omodewu represented.
“Our solemn thoughts and prayers are with his family, the state chapter of our great Party, the government and good people of Oyo State at this difficult time”, Morka said.
He said the party also extends condolences to the Forum of APC State Chairmen over the demise of their eminent colleague.
