Following confusion that trialled result of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election last weekend, the party has replaced Senator Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State as chairman of the Committee that will conduct the rescheduled election in the state.
APC had on Tuesday declared the election headed by Uzodinma inconclusive and ordered that the process be completed on Thursday..
Meanwhile, Cross River state governor, Bassey Otu, who hitherto was the vice chairman is now to serve as the substantive chairman of the Committee.
Recall that Uzodinma had announced a member of the House of Representatives, Dennis Idahosa as winner of the primary election contrary to that of the returning officer from across local government areas.
