The party announced the development in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the National Campaign Council will be chaired by the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

The council has Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as co-chairmen.
Also appointed is the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, who will serve as Deputy Chairman, while the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, will serve as Secretary of the council.
The APC said the campaign council comprises party leaders, governors, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, federal and state lawmakers, as well as other key stakeholders drawn from across the country.
According to the party, the composition of the council reflects its determination to mobilise its structures nationwide towards securing victory in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.
To strengthen campaign coordination, the APC also announced the establishment of specialised sub-committees to oversee critical aspects of the electioneering process.
The committees will handle election planning and management, finance and resource mobilisation, contact and grassroots engagement, logistics and campaign management, monitoring and compliance, protocol, media and publicity, security, youth mobilisation, women’s mobilisation, mobilisation of persons with disabilities, as well as secretariat operations.
The party said the various committees are expected to ensure effective planning, coordination and execution of campaign activities across the state ahead of the poll.
The APC further disclosed that the inauguration of the National Campaign Council and its sub-committees will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre, Abuja, by 12 noon.
The party expressed confidence that the newly constituted campaign structure would provide the strategic leadership and coordination required to deliver victory for its candidate in the Osun State governorship election.
