The Nigeria Army 33 Artillery Brigade in Bauchi State has conferred an award of excellence on the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters to Governor Bala Mohammad, Dr Umar Aliyu Shayi .
The Army said the award is another testament of his commitment and dedication in protecting lives and properties across the state.
This development was disclosed to the media by Abdullahi Idris, the Head of Media and Communications Strategy in the SSA’s office
Idris said this award is another positive turning point of excellence and professionalism while discharging an outstanding obligations and performance of the SSA’s security matters.
It could be recalled that Ambassador Umar Aliyu Shayi also holds the position of Director General Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, Assistant Commander General (Operations) Nigerian Forestry Security Service (NFSS).
“Dr. Shayi has been eminently and effectively engaged in the fight against terrorism and banditry across Bauchi state and beyond in collaboration with all security agencies”, Idris added.
Responding, Dr Shayi pointed out that he has dedicated this historic award plaque to the good people of Bauchi State and in the sustaining humanity, peace, development and democracy.
He equally appreciated the opportunity given to him by the administration of Governor Bala Mohammad in sustainable peace, unity and development.
However,he commended all security agencies in the state for outstanding honesty, commitment and professionalism while ensuring fulfilling excellence obligations across the divides.
