The Managing Director/CEO of Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC, Raymond Asemakaha, has announced plans to expand the company’s operations.
Speaking during a media briefing at the company’s headquarters in Makurdi, Asemakaha revealed that BIPC would open another branch for bread distribution along Naka road in Makurdi.
He also disclosed that the company is building a new structure to commence leather production, which will save costs on wrapping materials for bread and sachet water.
Asemakaha noted that a cost-benefit analysis showed that the company spends a significant amount on leather production, and the new unit would address this.
Furthermore, Asemakaha announced that BIPC would start producing quality nails, as the North Central region relies heavily on the East for nail supplies, assuring that this would be achieved within 30 days.
Asemakaha attributed the speed of work at the beer factory to the confidence people have in the system, citing instances where suppliers have offered credit facilities due to the transparent nature of the Governor Hyacinth Alia administration.
He disclosed that about N700 million has been committed to the beer project and promised that the Alia administration would deliver both the beer and Benfruit projects, which are nearing completion in November.
Asemakaha expressed delight that BIPC’s contributions have improved the lives of many Benue citizens, particularly old women, youths, and widows.
He assured that the company would continue to champion innovations that improve the living conditions of Benue people.
