Ahead of the Supreme Court ruling on the Delta State governorship election, the former Secretary to Delta State Government, Chief Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation, charged APC faithful across Isoko ethnic nationality to unite to suppress other parties in the state.
Macaulay gave the charge when he played host to APC leaders, LGA excos, ward excos, and five principal officers of the Wards across Isoko ethnic nationality to celebrate the New Year with them and to receive defectors from other political parties.
In his welcome speech, he noted that since he joined the party, he made all efforts for the APC family in Isoko nation to see themselves as brothers and sisters of one political family.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Mrs. Uzezi Akporeha, who dumped PDP for APC with a host of others said, “I joined my brothers in the APC so that we can work for the betterment of our community, Owhelogbo, and Delta State in general.
While receiving the decamped, the Isoko North APC Chairman, Barr. Daniel Emebunor, his Isoko South Counterpart, Mr Vincent Egbogbo, and Owhelogbo Ward 5 Chairman, Mr. Vincent Ubogu, in their separate remarks, expressed gratitude to Comrade Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay for organizing the meeting, describing him as a blessing to Isoko Nation APC.
