Gov Alia appoints DG BPP, heads of tertiary institutions in Benue

Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has approved the appointments of Akwanya Adadu as Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, yesterday in Makurdi, disclosed that Adadu until her appointment, served as a senior lecturer at the Benue State University, BSU, an indigene of Benue State hails from Ado Local Government Area.

Kula who said her appointment takes immediate effect also announced other appointments made by Governor Alia to include, Paul Chukwuma- Chairman/Pro-Chancellor, Benue State University Makurdi, Demian Anyam- Chairman Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo, Gabriel Moti- Chairman, College of Education Katsina-ala, Member Genyi- Member College of Education Katsina-ala, Okpe Okpe- Chairman Akawe Torkula Polytechnic Makurdi, Victoria Pila- Chairman Akperan Orshi Polytechnic Yandev, and Bem Vangerwua- Chairman College of Health Technology Agasha respectively.

The governor in the statement also maintained that the appointed individuals were carefully selected based on their track records of service and wealth of experience, expressing optimism that the appointees would be able to deliver, as well as make the tertiary institutions top-notch in the country once more.

While congratulating and wishing the new appointees a fruitful stay in the office, the governor charged them to permanently put the interest of the state first in all their official engagements, urging all the institutions to see the detail attached document for the complete list of members of their various councils for the affected institutions.
