Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has tasked media practitioners in the state to assist his administration to develop Nasarawa State of his dream through publicising the activities and policies of the government as well as lifting the status and potentials of state to the global world.
Sule who made the appeal when his Senior Special Assistant on public Affairs and publicity, Comrade Peter Ahemba visited the Correspondent Chapel of NUJ in continuation tour of media houses in Nasarawa said the appeal has become necessary as the state was in dare need of adequate publicity, information destination in view of the potentials of the state begging for attention
Sule who solicited for more cooperation from members of the Correspondent’s Chapel in the state added his administration cannot do it alone without the media in its desperate desire to develop the state and make life more meaningful for the people.
While appreciating the Correspondents’ Chapel members for their contributions towards his government, said such collaborations has become more necessary in order to publicise the polices and programmes of his administration, charging journalists in the state in particular and the nation at large.
Governor Sule who promised to create a conducive environment for the media to discharge their responsibilities, advised the media to be more professional in the discharge of their Journalistic responsibilities for the Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the various governors to improve on the hardship being experienced in the country.
Responding, chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Isaac Ukpoju, thanked the governor for recognising the role of the media in shaping the society.
Ukpoju who noted the harsh environment journalists are made to function, pledged the chapel’s readiness at all time to contribute their quota to the success of the administration in the state,
